A Sheep is Going to be Sheared Live on This Week’s Late Late Show
Bear Grylls, John Halligan and Jane Seymour will be joining Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show this Friday – but it’s a guest of a different kind altogether that has got our attention.
A sheep will be sheared live in the Late Late studio this Friday night.
As thousands prepare to travel to Offaly for this year’s Ploughing Championships, Anna May McHugh will be telling the audience what’s in store for punters this year.
Ivan Scott, world record sheep shearer, will also be demonstrating his skills live in studio.
Last year, the RTE show came under fire after one segment showed a baby lamb in a piece of farming equipment called a Lamb Carousel.
A farmer was brought on the chat show to talk about his farming techniques and the new technologies that are being used in agriculture in the modern day, but it was his lamb that took centre stage:
However, viewers appeared to be actually quite distressed at the image of the lamb caged up, looking scared and uncomfortable and even Ryan himself looked a little uneasy at the sight of it all.
We hope history doesn’t repeat itself this week!
We’ll be tuning into RTÉ One on Friday at 9.35pm to find out…..
