It’s an issue that certainly divides people but singer Alanis Morrisette is proud to show which side of the breastfeeding debate she comes down on.
The rocker posted a throwback picture with her son Ever, now 3, breastfeeding during his infancy with fans on social media in honour of World Breastfeeding Week on Saturday.
She captioned the photo “family on tour europe 2012 #worldbreastfeedingweek #isupportyou @msjamielynne #everlovedhischakraglasses @jaygordonmdfaap,” The mum-of-one couldn’t look happier as she had a smile on her face as she was snapped while touring Europe.
Since becoming a mum, the You Oughta Know singer has been a fierce advocate of breastfeeding.
“I’ll breastfeed, and I’ll be breastfeeding until my son is finished and he weans,” Morrisette was quoted in an interview with The Billy Bush Show in 2012.
“I think it affords the child, when he grows up, to have a lot less therapy to go to.”
“For me, I protect his safety and his well-being and his attachment. That stage of development is a very important stage.”
