Everyone is talking about this hilarious moment which happened on the Nine O’Clock news last night.

RTE reporter George Lee was speaking about the very important issue of keeping Ireland’s beaches clean, and he was discussing the fact that the seagulls are in their dozens at this time of year.

George went on to give viewers advise about how to be mindful about keeping our beaches in top notch, and dished out the advise on how to deal with seagulls and to keep them away.

He advised: “Don’t leave rubbish on a beach. Make sure you clean up after dogs and don’t bury it in the sand and don’t leave out food waste anywhere near beaches, because it encourages seagulls’‘.

However it was his last sentence which had viewers in stitches all across the country.

He said: ”We all know what they tend to do. They can plop like mad.”

It wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to share the hilarity of his statement with one user writing: ”I can’t breath. George Lee is my hero. Who doesn’t love a good ‘plop’.
While another wrote: ”Funniest thing I’ve seen on telly in a while. George Lee is some man”.
