Launch of the new Marks & Spencer Spirit of Summer food range
MARKS & SPENCER SPIRIT OF SUMMER
Marks & Spencer celebrated their 2016 Spirit of Summer Food Event on Tuesday evening (14th June) in the M&S Rooftop Café on Grafton Street. The event was attended by over 100 of Ireland’s well known foodies and influencers who all enjoyed the exciting food and drink, celebrating the best of the Americas, currently on sale in all M&S stores.
Guests were treated to Champagne on arrival before sampling a selection of fresh new flavours from the Spirit of Summer drinks range including Costa Rican Pineapple & Coconut Water Sparkling Pressé and Brazilian Orange & Alphonso Mango Sparkling Pressé. All produce served on the evening was provided from the new M&S Spirit of Summer range and expertly prepared by the M&S Grafton Street team headed up by executive chef Steven MaGuire. Highlights from the night included the ‘Flatties’ and ‘Spatchies’; chicken breasts and drumsticks that have been marinated and butchered to lay flat for easy grilling.
TV3’s Sybil Mulcahy, Alan Hughes and Debbie O’ Donnell all soaked up the atmosphere along with Norah Casey and Maia Dunphy who enjoyed the food and drink offering. The ‘Carnival Selection Cupcakes’ and Irish made Genesis ‘Summer Tartlet Selection’ were a big hit with foodies Marie-Claire Digby and Dee Laffan.
Style guru Corina Gaffey and FM104 presenter Sean Munsanje enjoyed catching up with friends while capturing photos with the help of some fiesta props and helped to get #mandssummer16 trending on the evening!
All guests departed the event with a gorgeous M&S goody bag full of delicious Spirit of Summer produce.
