Daithi and Rita tie the knot
To celebrate the Carlton Hotel’s sponsorship of the Rose of Tralee International Festival, we have a fabulous competition for one lucky reader, where you and a friend will live like a Rose for the weekend at the Carlton Hotel in Tralee.
Daithi O’Sé famously met his new bride and former New Jersey Rose Rita Talty at the Rose of Tralee, and many other romances have blossomed between the Roses who travel down to Tralee representing their Rose Centres and the young gentlemen who escort them during their trip.
Rose of Tralee winners Diane Hannegan (1984) and Luzminda O’Sullivan (1998, pictured below) met their respective partners in Tralee, and last year’s Donegal Rose Maria McCole met her partner, Leinster and Ireland rugby star Sean O’Brien at the 2011 Rose of Tralee festival.
