Murder of innocent dad Stephen Lynch is second tragedy to hit the family
The murder of innocent dad Stephen Lynch in a hit and run was the second tragedy to hit his heartbroken family.
Stephen’s partner Kellie Hughes previously lost her brother, also named Stephen, in a tragic blaze 16 years ago, according to the Irish Sun.
Stephen Hughes was 12 years old in 2001 when he died in a fire in the den where he had been sleeping overnight.
Dermot Griffin received a 15-year prison sentence in 2014 for the death of the child, after setting fire to the makeshift den.
Gardai have not yet been able to find the four suspects believed to be involved in Stephen’s vicious killing.
Despite fleeing the scene, it’s believed the suspects, who are all in their early 20s and teens, are still in the country.
Stephen’s funeral mass will take place on Friday morning at 11am at St Aidan’s church, Brookfield followed by burial at Newlands Cross cemetery.
Anyone with information about Stephen’s death has been asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01-666-6000 or any Garda station.
Our thoughts are with Stephen’s family at this time…..
