This adorable rescue dog, who has been rescued for just over a year, still insists on giving his mother a hug every evening when she comes home from work.

Kylo Ren, a big lovable dog, was put into a shelter at just ten months old. From their the dog was then put in a foster home, but for some reason could not find a forever home.

However, after a long time, he finally found a loving family to take him. Speaking to the Dodo, his owner Meghan Sweers said:

“We saw his picture on Facebook and reached out. I think he was always meant to wind up with us, it just took some time for us to find him.”

Sweers and her husband already had another dog, a Corgi, so they decided to have a trial night first to see how the dogs got along, and if the new dog would fit in ok.

Luckily, Kylo Ren fit right in to his new home.

“As soon as they left he crawled into my lap, tucked his head under my chin, and started snoring like a chainsaw,” Sweers said. “From that moment my husband and I knew he was staying with us.”

The family say that now every time she returns from work, Kylo crawls up onto his mothers lap for a hug. They say that all he really wants is to be loved.

“As soon as I sit down to take off my shoes he climbs into my lap to be held,” said Sweers. “If I don’t sit down for our cuddle time he follows me around with the saddest most pathetic look on his face until I give in and hold him.”

We love this story so much! What a cute puppy, and an amazing family. All this little guy needed was someone to give him a chance, and look at how much love he has to give!
