Rory MclLroy Has Sights Set On Becoming A Daddy
It looks like Rory has his sights set on becoming a daddy sooner rather than later.
The golfer, recently pulled out of the the Rio Olympics citing concerns over the Zika virus which has been linked to birth defects in babies. Rory voiced his concerns earlier this year and although it was looking likely he would go, he made the announcement last week that he was withdrawing.
Ireland’s Shane Lowry and World number one, Australia’s Jason Day also withdrew their names.
According to the Irish Independent, McIlroy was asked by media ahead of the French Open why none of the top female golfers had withdrawn.
“I guess some of the top women golfers might not have plans to have children in the next six months to a year,” said McIlroy, in his strongest hint that he and Erica are planning to start a family soon.
“You’ve got Shane who has just got married. Jason Day has a young family. I’m getting married next year…. I’d say 90pc of the athletes going to the Olympics are single and have no plans to start a family in the near future, whereas there are some golfers that are in that position and in that scenario.”
