Lionel Richie has announced that he has had to reschedule the following Irish shows scheduled for this week due to illness.

The statement says:

With great disappointment, LIONEL RICHIE has had to reschedule the following Irish shows scheduled for this week:-

This is due to illness diagnosed after he visited doctors today. They confirmed that he needs to respond to treatment and should make an excellent recovery.

Lionel is extremely disappointed that he has had to reschedule his Irish appearances at The O2 in Dublin & Odyssey Arena in Belfast. He always receives the warmest of welcomes in Ireland and that was why he had wanted to start his tour here – he is very much looking forward to getting back later in the year to perform in Dublin & Belfast.

The September dates have now been rescheduled as follows:-

Dublin, The O2   -   Rescheduled to 10 December 2012

Belfast, The Odyssey  – Rescheduled to 11 December 2012

Tickets Holders are asked to retain their tickets for the new dates in each city.

Demi Lovato: My Body Issues Began Aged Three!

RSVP was shocked to hear Demi Lovato saying that her body issues began when she was three.

The ‘X Factor’ judge – who has spent time in rehab getting treatment for her eating disorder and self harming – admits she felt she was overweight from a very young age, and the insecurities have stayed with her.

She told talk show ‘Katie’: “I remember being three years old in a diaper and rubbing my hand over my stomach … and I remember thinking in my head, ‘I wonder if one day this will ever be flat?’ ”

The 20-year-old beauty – who has recently been named as the new ambassador of a bullying campaign – was targeted at school as the girls used to tease her for her appearance.

Demi added: “It played more of a toll on me than if I was physically abused in school. I’ve always said I wished that they had just hit me in the face and gotten it over with because what they said to me sticks to me to this day and it affected me, (turned) me into the person I am today. I was bullied and they called me fat and they called me horrible things.”

Guess she’s having the last laugh now!!

Demi Looks Gaunt While Ashton Flaunts His New Love

Poor Demi Moore is looking quite frail and gaunt these days, following the break-up of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher. The 49-year-old actress looked thin and wide-eyed as she left the Sunset Towers Hotel in West Hollywood yesterday.

Earlier this week her ex-husband Ashton Kutcher enjoyed a very public display of affection with new girlfriend Mila Kunis, in ehich the smitten couple held hands, kissed, hugged and fed one another food.

Gary Barlow Leads Congratulations To Robbie Williams

Amid his own recent sadness, Gary Barlow has sent his congratulations to Take That bandmate Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field following the birth of their daughter Theodora Rose, known as Teddy.

The X Factor judge expressed his delight for his bandmate after Ayda gave birth to their daughter yesterday. See story here.

Gary – whose fourth child Poppy was tragically delivered stillborn last month (see story here) – tweeted:

“Massive congrats Rob and Ayda. So happy for you.”

Robbie’s best friend Jonathan Wilkes also took to Twitter to express his joy at the new arrival. He wrote: “Just had the best news!”

It is believed Ayda went into labour eight days early, and Teddy was born at London’s Portland Hospital at 3.33pm. Robbie was present for the delivery and the baby weighed 7lb 4oz.

Announcing the news on his official website, a delighted Robbie said: “Baby, Mummy and Daddy are all rockin’.”

The 38-year-old singer and 33-year-old Ayda began dating in 2006 and were married in August 201o.

Amy Winehouse’s Family Say Their Final Farewell to Her

Amy Winehouse’s family said their final farewell yesterday as they buried her ashes. The Back to Black singer passed away in July 2011 aged just 27 from alcohol poisoning, and her ashes were set to rest in a Jewish ceremony in Edgware, North London.

The memorial was attended by around 70 mourners – including Amy’s father Mitch – and her ashes were committed to the ground.

According to The Sun newspaper, the star’s black and pink headstone  features “pink writing and a picture of a songbird” in memory of the musician.

Mitch, 61, paid tribute to his daughter’s “short but dynamic” life. Last Friday  would have been the singer’s 29th birthday and her family spoke to fans on the Amy Winehouse Foundation website, saying:

“Today marks what would have been the 29th birthday of Amy Winehouse.

“Whilst the world continues to mourn the loss of a true superstar, her family – first and foremost – remember the daughter, niece and sister that is no longer with them.”

The American Idol Judges’ Line – Up Revealed

So the new American Idol judges have been confirmed as Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson! The announcement was made by Ryan Seacrest on Twitter as he tweeted this pic of the new line-up of judges and crew. While Randy and Mariah were judges on previous series of the talent show, Nicki and Keith have been brought in to replace Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

We at RSVP imagine it will give the X Factor line-up of Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and LA Reid a run for its money in the US.

Khloe Kardashian: Her Difficulties With Getting Pregnant

Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she never anticipated how difficult it would be to conceive a child with her husband and professional basketball player Lamar Odom. Appearing on Good Morning America with her sisters Kim and Kourtney, the 28-year-old reality star admitted she “never knew all the difficulties” associated with trying to get pregnant. In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe visited a fertility clinic with Kim. She revealed on the show:

“My mum has so many kids, and Kourtney pops them out like a PEZ dispenser, so you think it’s, like, so easy. You realise it’s not as easy as you might think. It was really hard to show what I was going through. I feel like I’m helping a lot of people, but I’m still figuring it out for myself.”

Kourtney has a son, Mason, two, and a daughter, Penelope, two months, with partner Scott Disick. Khloe has continued to undergo fertility treatments in hope of one day starting a family. However she emphasised that there is no way of making sure it works.

“It’s trial and error. You got put on hormones and see if they work, and if they don’t, you move to the next step. There will be a part two coming up to this season. You will find out more of the in-depth treatments that I’ve been doing, but it’s really trial and error.”

See story here … Jessica Simpson In ‘Baby Maxwell In A Bikini’ Storm When American singer and actress Jessica Simpson dressed her four-month-old daughter Maxwell in a yellow bikini,  it provoked a furious public reaction. The 32-year-old showed the baby’s picture during an interview with US TV host Katy Couric on her ABC show, causing British child welfare charity Kidscape’s director Claude Knights to accuse her of sexualising her baby with the ‘totally inappropriate’ outfit.

‘It is very disturbing to see a young baby presented to the world wearing a bikini. Celebrity choices carry great influence, as can be seen by the manner in which their accessories and behaviours are copied widely. It is to be hoped that parents will understand that “baby bikinis” are totally inappropriate, and that they contribute to the sexualisation and commercialisation of childhood. We should not be compromising the sanctity of our children’s early years.’

The image soon spread around the Internet, attracting criticism of Miss Simpson, who lives in Los Angeles with her fiancé, Eric Johnson, 32.

Police arrested an intruder armed with scissors in Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus’s garden last night. Jason Luis Rivera, 40, climbed over a fence around the property and lit candles in the garden and ignored requests to leave. When police apprehended Rivera, he claimed he was ‘a friend’ of the star and said that he wanted to see her. Miley was not home when the incident occurred. Hah you see, she may not smile a lot, but Victoria Beckham definitely has a great sense of humour! She tweeted this pic today from New York Fashion Week, where she’s been seen hanging out with legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour! Fire in His Belly – Ronan Keating Hits Back! Ronan Keating has hit back at reports that his album is doing badly in Ireland. According to today’s Irish Sun, the star was incensed at media reports suggesting that his album Fireshad performed poorly, following the revelation that it had sold 181 copies in retail outlets and was number 13 in the Irish midweek charts. Ronan’s fury centred around the fact that download figures weren’t added to the figure, and that sales figures overall were low in Ireland.

 “It’s rubbish. The No 1 album midweek here sold about 700 — it’s not like sales for anything are sky high.”

On The Strawberry Alarm Clockon FM104, the singer revealed that he never expected the album to sell lots of copies in Ireland.

“Album sales in Ireland are never going to keep you in Gucci — you do it to make a presence. They didn’t include my download sales either and the downloads were quite substantially more than that but I’m not going to get into a battle about it.”

On a happier note, the former Boyzone singer and X Factor Australia judge is delighted with his chart placing in the UK, where he was number 4 in the midweeks. He is hoping that the album will end up in the top three when the official charts are released, and is looking forward to touring with his new material.
