Ireland is expected to be hit by lows of -5 degrees Celsius and strong blizzards this weekend, according to Met Eireann.

They are warning people that we will be hit by the severest arctic freeze of this winter this weekend. Expect widespread snowfall, cold, and strong blizzards from Saturday.

However, that’s not the worst of the news as the cold spell is expected to last throughout February and even into March and April, according to The Sun.

“Saturday night will be very cold with a widespread sharp or severe frost and icy patches. Lowest temperatures of 0 to -5 degrees,” says Met Eireann.

Get ready to wrap up. It looks like we won’t be getting sunny weather until May!
