Tesco issue product recall for lipstick and lollipop pens
Tesco have issued an urgent product recall for lipstick and lollipop pens amid serious health fears.
The retailer is recalling two types of toy pens due to asphyxiation fears.
The affected pens are Amcan Lipstick and Lollipop pens which customers have been asked to return immediately.
The notice on their website reads:
“Amscan International Ltd would like to recall two pens that were manufactured in China and sold exclusively at TESCO in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The caps on both pens do not comply with the required safety standards and as such may pose an asphyxiation hazard if swallowed accidentally. There have been no reports of injuries with either of these products.” If you have purchased either of these products please stop using it immediately and return the affected product(s) to your most convenient Tesco store, where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.”
