We at RSVP are thrilled to have three pairs of tickets to give away to Phantom of the Opera at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom is the tale of a beautiful opera singer Christine Daae, who is being pursued by a composer who is shamed into a life of clandestine subterfuge by his scarred and disfigured face. He lives underneath an opera house and dictates to the owners how things should be run, but is never seen by the company, apart from when he reveals himself to the lead singer. RSVP saw the production in Bristol recently and it was amazing – dark, tragic, dramatic, funny and tender. We will literally be beating a path to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre to see it again next week.
The Cameron Mackintosh production has a brand-new and ultra-spectacular set design, and the special effects are jaw-dropping at times - from the famous masquerade scene, which was constructed using mirrors, to the infamous chandelier scene, which was responsible for RSVP having a mini heart attack!
Another element of the appeal is the talented Katie Hall, of the BBC’s I’d Do Anything fame, who plays the smitten Christine Daae. There is comedy amidst the suspense and darkness, and the ballet routines and musical numbers are all beautifully executed. The end is intense and dramatic and will leave the audience shocked and enthralled in equal measure. Enter our competition below to see if you’re one of the lucky three people who will win two tickets, and if not, make sure you book your tickets immediately before they’re gone!
The Phantom of the Opera will run from Thursday 5th July to Saturday 4th August at Bord Gais Energy Theatre, www.bordgaisenergytheatre.ie. Tickets from €25 from Ticketmaster on 0818 719 377.

The spectacular Phantom of the Opera comes to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from July 5th to August 4th and we have three pairs of tickets to give away. One pair for the gala media opening on July 10th and two pairs for July 11th (tickets from www.ticketmaster.ie) To be in with a chance of winning these much-coveted tickets, please answer the following question.
