There’s a new GPS collar so you can track your dog, but that’s not all it does

This LINK AKC™ smart collar for your dog allows you to track your dog so you can easily find them if they get lost, but that’s not all it does.

The collar which was featured at this weeks Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas is a smart collar, and through the use of the collar and the app, the company claims that dog owners will be able to take a more informed and active role in managing their dog’s well-being.

So what does it do?

GPS and location tracking:

The smart collar allows dog owners to track the dog’s location with the push of a button and to set custom notification alerts if their dog becomes loose.

Activity monitoring and insights:

The smart collar provides activity recommendations so that owners can become more informed about their dog, and make better choices for their dog’s well-being. Owners can track their dogs daily activity levels, and can check if their dog is getting the right amount of activity or exercise for its breed, age, and size.

Remote controlled light:

The collar has a remote controlled light so that it is easy to find your dog in the dark.

Scrapbook:

The Adventures feature means owners can create a scrapbook by capturing special adventures and saving precious memories with just the touch of a button. These adventures can be shared easily with friends on social media also.

Watch the video on what it does here:

These are just some of the main features of the collar. The collar is only available to order in the US from the 23rd of January over on their website. We can see a large gap in the market for something like this over here though so we wouldn’t be surprised to see something like this available here soon.

What do you think? Do you think it’s a bit much, or could you see yourself buying one of these?
