The Wow Factor
Having a castle wedding never gets tired and it always gives the 'wow factor' for yourself and your guests, setting the scene and the tone high from the outset before your guests even get to the wedding, giving a perception of a top class venue with a difference. Being a Castle, people don’t always know what to expect, or what is coming next, giving an air of ambiguity which is certainly a good thing, I think we have all been at weddings when you just know exactly what is coming next and it can be lovely but a bit boring!

When you rent a place like Cloghan, you are handed the keys and it is YOURS for the weekend, 100% private and no strangers wandering around, no manager telling you what you can or can’t have or when its time to go to bed, you rule the Roost as King & Queen of the Castle!
Food - When you choose a venue, you also choose their menus and style of food and you must choose from what they have on offer, yet again the castle comes up trumps, you can choose from an array of different caterers which come recommended by the castle or if you know a catering company that you love, then yes, absolutely they can cater your wedding. It gives a wide variety to choose from a broad spectrum of meal types, from traditional wedding breakfast, or medieval banquet, to buffet style, to BBQ on the battlements on the roof or a Pig on a Spit garden party, the choice is yours!
Bar – because the place is yours for the weekend, you can bring your own wine and champagne and there is no corkage. You can choose to employ the services of any of the recommended bar companies which will run a regular pay bar for you or alternatively have them deliver a few kegs and some beers and have your own alcohol served to your guests. We can also recommend wine suppliers that will deliver wine directly to the castle for you also.
Location, Location, Location – photos are obviously so important on the day of your wedding to capture the moment, but you don’t want to spend the day taking photos, photos should be about the day, not the day being about photos! There are lots of beautiful settings both inside and outside the castle for photos, so no need to head off wasting time at another location, you can do it all on site and then relax and enjoy the time with your guests!
Personalise – if you are one of these people that wants to personalise your day and your venue, yet again, no problem, it's yours for the weekend so you can do what you like!
The Day After. not a problem, stay on at the castle and have an informal BBQ to unwind and debrief and continue the celebrations
