A young mother of two has died after a suspected gallstones turned out to be bowl cancer which has spread to her ovaries.

The 29 year old, Sammi Fox died this morning at 2.30am after her health had quickly deteriorated with her family by her beside.

Speaking to The Newcastle Chronicle her sister spoke of her sister's last few days,

"It was so peaceful, she just looked so beautiful.

"I was the oldest but she was my big little sister, she was the one who told me what to do."

The mother of two's ordeal started 8 months ago when she went to the doctors with stomach issues. She was treated for IBS which does often present similar symptoms to bowel cancer.

However, on the 8th of September doctors called to tell her she had a mass on her ovaries.

Doctors offered her a full hysterectomy which took place on October 5th. However, two days later a CT scan and a colonoscopy, where a camera is inserted into the bowels, found a tumour in her colon.

Doctors first thought they would be able to shrink the tumour.

Sadly, on October 9 she was told she has just days to live.

Before she died, the kind hearted mother planned her own funeral and sorted her down syndrome son's birthday and ensured her mother will look after her two sons.
