Aidan O’Mahony Reveals It’s Been Incredibly Tough Being Away From His Newborn Baby
This can’t be easy for him…
Dancing With The Stars contestant Aidan O’Mahony has recently welcomed a new bundle of joy into his life has revealed that it’s been incredibly hard being away from home and his little one.
Aidan and his stunning wife Denise Healy welcomed their first child, a daughter which they named Lucia, last week and the Kerry footballer admitted that they couldn’t be any happier but it’s been heartbreaking being away from his newborn while rehearsing for DWTS.
Speaking to The Irish Mail on Sunday, Aidan admitted: “Last week was a very joyous week for us, and doing the dance last Sunday was more relaxed for me, because obviously when you have an eventful week like we had, my baby and my wife came first”.
“This week I am looking forward to the semi-final because when you have a baby, you have a very positive mindset”.
Spending so much time away from his wife and newborn daughter has been extremely difficult for him.
“I thought I’d be home long before this, to be there to mind the baby. My wife has been very supportive and last weekend was very hard for me, coming away from the baby”.
“But my wife said ‘Look, you’ve started it, you might as well finish it and give it 110%” – that’s the way I’ve always been in sport and work.”
Don’t miss Aidan in action tonight!
