Are you finding it hard to sleep at night because you are spending too much checking your Facebook page or scrolling down through Instagram? Mum to be, Aisling O’Loughlin has the top tip to help you through the night.
“If the lure of your phone is too over-whelming to resist at night-time, it might be worth downloading the Babyglow App designed by Cork mum-of-two Caitríona Lysaght.
“Based on medical research into the effects of screen light on sleep, the app filters phone light with a red tone so as not to disrupt your precious shut-eye,” she explained in her Mother of All Baby Columns in RSVP Magazine.
“Apparently, the usual blue light makes the brain think it’s daytime and unsettles any hopes of a peaceful night’s kip,” added the Xposé presenter.
