Alan Hawe’s Chilling Note Claimed Family Couldn’t Survive Without Him
Alan Hawe reportedly left a chilling message saying his family couldn’t cope without him after murdering his wife and three sons.
Hawe, a deputy principal, stabbed his wife Clodagh to death before killing his sons Liam, 13, Niall, 11, and six-year-old Ryan in their bedrooms in the family home near Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan, on Sunday night.
He then hanged himself.
The 41-year-old left a number of notes and documents in the house. One found on the back door of the house told visitors to contact gardai.
According to the Irish Daily Star, another said that he killed his family because they would not have been able to cope without him.
A source told the paper: “He wrote that he was taking the family with him because he did not think they would be able to cope without him.”
Meanwhile, Alan Hawe’s mother-in-law has spoken out to say that she forgives the man who killed her daughter and 3 grandsons.
