Aoibhinn Kenny could set to take over from her father
Aoibhinn Kenny could set to take over from her father as she follows in his footsteps.
It seems that the UCD student is groomed ahead of the next general election.
Enda Kenny stepped down as Taoiseach yesterday as he moves away from the world of politics.
Fear not though, there is another Kenny ready to be elected in the Mayo constituency.
“I’m telling you,”
“Aoibhinn’s a girl for the future. She’s well educated, star quality, perfectly suited to slot nicely into the local political jigsaw if her father decides not to run for election next time around,” a local told The Irish Times in Castlebar.
Last summer, she slammed RTE, describing them as an “absolute sham” during their Olympics overage.
She took to Twitter to slate the national broadcaster, after it failed to broadcast a swimming heat featuring an Irish swimmer from her hometown.
She tweeted them to say: “Absolute sham – again – not showing Nicholas Quinn WINNING his heat #disaster.”
Ms Kenny said she got more information on the race from her Olympics app than she did from the “Passing mention of him” on RTE.
