Bridget and Eamon is returning for a third series
Bridget and Eamon is returning for a third series later this year!
The big announcement was made on TV3’s The Six O’Clock Show this evening.
Fans will once again be able to reminisce in the 1980’s as Ireland’s most loved (and dysfunctional) TV couple hit our screens once again.
Ed Sammon- who plays Fr. Gabriel- said that Jennifer Zamperelli told him the good news the other day, saying “Yes, we are doing it again.”
“I bumped into Jennifer Zamperelli in the park the other day
“I don’t know if I can I say it or not, let’s just say that an episode will be set in the 1980’s,” he teased while chatting about the new plots.
After being questioned by presenter Muireann O’Connell, he dished: “I think there is a trip to Lourdes being organised.”
Ed was afraid that he gave away too much about the show, which also stars Bernard O’Shea, so he backtracked a little.
He joked that his character could be making a swift exit before the season premiere airs.
“I am always worried the first episode of the news series and that people will be saying “It is a shame what happened to Father Gabriel”- who knew that they were a cannibal tribe,” he continued.
We can’t wait for more “choppy changey” hairstyles and all the gossip from the local village.
