Caprice has been diagnosed with a brain tumour
Caprice has been diagnosed with a brain tumour after seeking medical help on The Jump.
The well-renowned model is best known to Irish audiences for fronting TV3’s style wars.
The 45-year-old model mysteriously pulled out of The Jump back in March and fans have been questioning what happened to her.
“I had headaches that were not going away and my vision was beginning to act up, so production insisted I see their doctor as they were very strict with health and safety procedures,
“I was diagnosed with a brain tumour,
“I found out while I was competing in the show and boy, was it more horrific than any of the challenges I’d faced in the snow,” she told Hello! Magazine.
Caprice was flown home by Channel 4 to be her with partner Ty Comfort and their three-year-old sons Jett and Jax.
She admitted that she was “totally stunned” and she kept asking “Am I going to die?”
“All the doctor could tell me was that I needed further tests.’
“My first thought was for my two little boys, ‘Am I going to die? What am I going to do’,”
“I’m their rock and keep my family together. This diagnosis with the scariest moment I’d ever experienced,” she told the publication.
She underwent a seven-hour procedure to remove the tumour at a private London hospital.
As a result, she also had reconstructive cranial plastic surgery to rebuild her skull following the surgery.
As well as starring in TV3’s Style Wars and The Jump, she also had roles on Celebrity Big Brother, Project Catwalk, Splash! and Britain’s Next Top Model.
