Emotional tributes paidto Dara Fitzpatrick by her colleagues on Claire Byrne Live
There were emotional scenes on Claire Byrne Live tonight as emotional tributes were paid to the late Dara Fitzpatrick.
Declan Geoghegan from the Irish Coast Guard described his friendship and work relationship with the late pilot.
Speaking on the RTE show, the coast guard, who was great friends with Dara, said it had been a difficult week and a traumatic experience.

He revealed that Dara was called the Pied Piper because children loved her and touchingly added that she had been ‘stone mad’ about her adopted three-year old son Fionn.
Tonight a significant amount of debris was found from the missing helicopter and a search is still underway to locate the helicopter’s black box, to give clues into its final moments.
Three of the crew from the missing helicopter are still unaccounted for and Mr Geoghegan thanked the local community in Black Sod for their support and help in the ongoing search.
