Essential Hair Tips For Brides Getting Ready For Their Big Day From The Hair Lounge

Bringing in images will help your stylist identify what you want.  A “big bun,” “soft waves,” “vintage” mean different things to different people, so it’s always good to have images to hand.

Take a friend /bridesmaid to your trial, and have her take photos of all your options from every angle. Be sure to capture the front and back, let every side be your “best side,” . Even a little video is great so that you can get a full look at how it is.

Always remember the neckline of your dress. Whether it’s strapless, one-shoulder or sweetheart, the top of your dress is a key shape to keep in mind when it comes to choosing your hairstyle. A full-on up-do may feel (and look) too bare with a strapless gown.

Beware of tendril-overload. A few flirty curls around your face can look soft as long as there are only a few and they are not too long. Too much curls hanging down may date your style and take away your timeless look.

Don’t be afraid to add some highlights.

If you have dark hair, be open to the idea of a few soft baby lights too add texture and softness to your up-style. It will show of your style a lot more and give it a soft textured look.

Wear a button-front shirt or dress for your day-of styling. That way, when you change into your wedding dress, there is no pulling of shirts over your finished hairstyle
