Fears that Ed Sheeran’s Phoenix Park gigs may be forced to move

There are fears that Ed Sheeran’s Phoenix Park gigs may be forced to move.

The singer is due to play to over 180,000 fans in the park next May.

However, according to the Independent.ie, Fingal County Council are trying to move the gigs due to the huge number of resident complaints.

Fianna Fáil Councillor, Howard Mahone reportedly stated that local residents were not consulted prior to a licence being granted for the gigs, saying:

“It’s a huge inconvenience for residents. We could have what happened at Croke Park for Garth Brooks. We’re not objecting to the thing taking place, we just feel there is a more suitable location for it.”
