Former Home and Away star Tessa James is pregnant after her brave cancer battle
Congratulations are in order for former Home and Away star Tessa James, as the actress is expecting her first child, just two years after entering remission from cancer.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Tessa confirmed the happy news through her agent earlier this week and is believed to be around five months pregnant.
Tessa – who’s married to professional rugby player Nate Myles – was initially diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 23 three years ago, but is now in remission following treatment.
Shortly after revealing her diagnosis, she thanked fans for their “overwhelming” support. “I can’t thank you enough. All my love,” she wrote.
James is best known for her role as Nicole Franklin in Home and Away, and was a resident of Summer Bay from 2008 to 2011.
The soap’s broadcaster Seven Network paid tribute to the actress after her diagnosis, calling her a “much-valued and loved” member of the family with “a wonderful approach to life”.
Fellow Home and Away star Johnny Ruffo, who played Chris Harrington between 2013 and 2016, also revealed this week that he recently underwent emergency surgery to have a brain tumour removed.
“Some things in life really put things into perspective,” the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram. “Hoping for a positive result, keep me in your thoughts.”
We’re thrilled for her…
