Have we found the cure for period pains, In CHOCOLATE?

It appears as though God has been listening to our monthly prayers!

Although we may already be aware of Chocolates un-denying mood benefits, it seems as though it may have some health benefits as well! Happy Days Girls! The invention of a period pain relieving chocolate has apparently been invented!!

Swiss chocolatier Marc Widermer has named the chocolate “Frauenmond”, which can be translated to “Women’s moon”.

The health benefits appears to be down to the natural ingredients, which include herbal properties, 17 mountain herbs and 60% chocolate. Widermer claims his chocolate helps alleviate the symptoms of period pains and PMS.

This is not the first time we have been advised to indulge.  Clinician, Elizabeth Morray told The Period Projects that “Eating a small amount of high-quality chocolate (typically that which has 65% or more “cacao”) may actually help alleviate cramps and PMS. Why? Chocolate contains magnesium, which can help alleviate cramps and increase energy.” Ah, like music to our ears.

Chocolate can help lower blood pressure, decrease low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, lower blood clot risk, improve cognitive performance and improve mood.

However, over-indulgence can also be extremely hazardous to your health. Most chocolates are high in sugar and can wreak havoc on your body. Side effects such as Weight gain, dental problems, and risks of developing diabetes, must also be taken into consideration.

Consuming the right chocolate, in the right amount, is key to achieving all the benefits it can offer. Remember that natural ingredients are your best friend, so if you can’t get your hands on this Swiss chocolate, then keep an eye out for a chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa and a low percentage of added sugars!
