Grainne Seoige’s production company has been liquidated
Grainne Seoige’s production company has been liquidated as she continues to focus on her new business venture, Grace Diamonds.
This comes just four months after her contact with RTE came to an end.
Liquidator’s records, revealed by Independent.ie, show that Grace Productions, suffered a “dramatic fall in revenues” since 2011.
The firm was wound up last month with a closing balance of just €365.
According to the report, Grace Productions’ “Primary source of revenue came with contract work with RTE and to a lesser extent, other media engagements with private contractors”.
“From 2011 onwards, the contract terms with RTE were significantly reduced in terms of workload and payment. This caused a dramatic fall-off in revenues and although the director made efforts to reduce spending in line with this fall, she was not able to reduce sufficient costs to match the reduction.”
“Although still tied to contractual work at home, the director began to spend more and more time abroad, setting up her new business.”
Grainne got engaged to South African native Leon Jordaan back in November 2013 resulting in the beginning of an exciting new career path with diamonds.
She is spending a lot of time in South Africa these days working in TV as well as her booming business.
Speaking exclusively to RSVP Magazine after the launch of Grace Diamonds, she said: “I am delighted that the jewellery as so well received in America.
“This is a challenge, however it is a very fun and happy one because you are dealing with people during a very happy time in their lives- love is in the air.”
