It’s the Hottest Day of the Years BUT It’s Not All Good News!

Temperatures are set to top 30C in parts of the country today.
It’s not all good news though. According to Met Eireann, the heat will spark thunderstorms, some of them even violent.
A yellow weather warning is in place.
According to the Forecaster, today will be very warm and mostly sunny, although his evening, heavy or thundery showers will develop in parts of north Connacht and west Ulster.
Cloud will increase near the south coast with some showery rain developing by nightfall. Highest temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees, warmest in the midlands and Connacht.
Tomorrow will bring a mix of cloudy periods and some sunny breaks.
Most places dry, but there’ll be some well scattered showers also. It will be noticeably cooler and fresher with moderate westerly breezes and highest temperatures ranging from 18 degrees in the west to 23 degrees in the east.
So there you have it – enjoy the sun, but watch out for the storms!
