Jane Beale left EastEnders in some very heartbreaking scenes last night (October 20).

It has been a rough couple of weeks for the much-loved character.

Jane- played by Laurie Brett- has been under pressure from cruel Max Branning, ultimately forcing her to left the square.

She was left with no choice other than getting in a cab and saying goodbye to her family and friends.

“Max has been desperate to get Jane out of the picture ever since she learned the awful truth about his schemes and threatened to expose him to everyone.

“Sadly, Jane was unable to find a way to tell Ian what was really going on in tonight's episode, with Max watching her every move.

“Despite some harsh words from a furious Kathy, and some heartfelt ones from Ian, Jane said a tearful goodbye to her friends and family, before departing Walford in sad scenes.

“Once safely in the taxi, Jane did attempt to make contact with Ian to fill him in on the real reason for her shock departure – leaving him a desperate voicemail saying she still loved him and not to trust anyone,” reports Digital Spy.
