Kate And William Announce That They Are Going On A Royal Tour

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are heading out on another royal tour after last year’s successful trip to Canada, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

This time, the young royals will be staying a little closer to home, visiting Germany and Poland.

The Duke and Duchess will arrive in Warsaw, Poland, on July 17th, then will move on to the city of Gdansk before heading to Germany. The couple will visit Berlin, Heidelberg and Hamburg before returning on July 21st.

The question on our lips is whether the Cambridges will be joined by their young children George, three, and Charlotte, two: sadly for those anticipating yet more sweet photo opportunities, it’s thought to be unlikely that the youngest royals will be making the trip.

Luckily, Kate and William will be back home in time to celebrate George’s fourth birthday on 22nd July.

Following their two day visit to Paris earlier this year, this trip comes at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Many see the couple as unofficial ‘Brexit’ ambassadors, helping to smooth over relations with other European nations as Britain navigates its departure from the European Union.
