Murder investigation launched after baby dies in fall from sixth floor

A murder investigation has been launched after a baby died in a fall from a sixth floor window.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old woman after the baby fell from a block of flats in Barkerend, Bradford.

The 18-month-old boy died from his injuries in the fall yesterday.

According to The Guardian reports Detective Superintendent Nick Wallen said: “This is clearly an extremely traumatic incident and specially trained officers are working to support the child’s family members and those who witnessed what took place.”

He added that many of those who witnessed the incident had been left completely traumatised.
