Olympic champion Amy Williams has given birth
Olympic champion Amy Williams has given birth to her first child with her husband Craig Ham.
They couple has officially introduced Oscar Nash to the world.
Amy admitted that motherhood has been “overwhelming” Oscar arrived at the Royal United Hospital in Bath just before his due date.
“You instantly know that you would do absolutely anything to protect your child. There are massive highs and lows within the space of one day,” she told Hello! Magazine.
Amy is one of Britain’s biggest sports stars after winning gold for the skeleton bob at the 2010 winter games.
It seems that the little on is already taking after his sporty mum.
“He’s got large hands and when he spreads them out it already looks like he could hold a rugby ball”
“On day two he could lift his head off my chest and I was like, ‘Should he be able to do that already?’,” she added.
Motherhood has been a big change for Amy and Craig and she is certainly embracing it.
She continued: “I didn’t sleep the night Oscar came home, I was on a high from the hormones and adrenaline,” she says. “And it took a few days to realise we can kiss and cuddle him as much as we like, that he’s our little boy.”
