Popular chocolate product recalled amid health fears
A popular chocolate product has been recalled by Thorntons amid health fears.
The firm have recalled their Easter eggs, which were deemed a health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
According to the Mirror, iced Easter eggs have been recalled from the store because milk is not mentioned in the labelling.
The chain has now pulled its 265g eggs from store shelves as a precaution.
An FSA spokesman said:
“If you have bought the above product with a personalised message and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. Thorntons is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.”
