A primary school has been SHUT after a shocking knife attack this morning
A woman, aged in her 30’s, has been rushed to hospital.
The incident occurred after she was attacked while walking back to her car.
Police and emergency services were called to Devonshire Park Primary School, Temple Road, Tranmere after the incident.
According to The Sun, Merseyside Police said: “Officers were called to Devonshire Park Primary school in Temple Road, Tranmere, at 8.20am following reports a woman had been assaulted as she walked back to her car.
“The woman has been taken to hospital with injuries to her hand, consistent with a knife being used. No-one else has been injured.
“The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“It is believed that the incident may have been domestic related and the offender is known to the victim.”
Police in the area have an investigation to find the attacker.
