A number of people were rescued today from sailing boats of the Dublin coast today.

Ireland has been hit by another storm this weekend, following on from the strong winds of Storm Ophelia last weekend.

Met Eireann issued a number of weather warnings for today due to Storm Brian.

Dublin is one of the counties that is affected and people were warned to be careful.

However, at 12pm this afternoon a number of boats out in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin began to struggle and got caught up in gale force winds.

A rescue team was sent out to bring back those out at sea, who all made it back safely but a number of boats had to be abandoned, according to RTE News.

The worst of Storm Brian has passed over Ireland and making it's way north but you can keep track of where it is here .
