TREATMENT OF THE MONTH: Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial at Neelu in Arnotts

The sun may finally be on the horizon, but lately after one too many engagement celebrations, my skin was feeling decidedly lacklustre. So I was delighted to head to Neelu in Arnotts to try out the new Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial. Favoured by celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Naomi Campbell, this new skincare saviour uses oxygen to lift, revive and revitalise skin.

As she began the treatment, Neelu, who is perhaps one of the most knowledgeable facialists I’ve ever come across,  explained that like all living things, our skin needs oxygen to regenerate. In younger skin, this process is very efficient, but as we age, the micro capillaries degenerate and skin does not receive the nourishment it needs. This in combination with our exposure to sun, pollution and stress results in the visible ageing signs that often distress us most like fine lines, wrinkles and dullness.

After cleansing my skin, pressurised oxygen was used to apply medical grade light weight Hyaluronic acid and serums containing vitamin A, C and E to instantly smooth and refresh my skin. Unlike a normal facial the oxygen pushes the serum into the deeper layers of the skin, instantly and visibly improving your skins appearance.

The facial itself was extremely relaxing and there is no downtime or redness to the skin afterwards, meaning this treatment is highly recommended for brides to be or those with a big event in mind. Afterwards my skin was glowing and looked smooth, plump and fresh. Over the next few days I continued to notice a significant improvement.

I continued to look well rested even after quite a few late nights. Neelu advised that the results will last even longer when you opt to do a course of treatments, so with a wedding to start planning for and some undoubted stress on the horizon, this is something I will definitely be looking into, before I lose my well rested appearance again!

Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial, priced at €225 for one facial or a course of six for €1000, is suitable for all skins types. Visit for more information.
