RSVP One to Watch: Courtney and Casey Creagh

In this weeks One to Watch, Cork twins Courtney and Casey Creagh talk about their up and coming modelling careers with RSVP’s Mikie O’Loughlin.

Tell us about yourselves….

Courtney: I am 15 years old and I am living in the North Side of Cork City. As you know I have a twin sister Casey and I have no other siblings.

Casey: We both have a great interest in fashion and l attend St.Aloysuis Secondary School.

Is modelling something that you have always wanted to do?

Courtney: Growing up I’ve always wanted to become a model and I loved looking at and observing other models. I feel I have the right attitude to become a model even though it is a very demanding job. Although I haven’t really had much experience, having a couple of photoshoots under my belt has reassured me it is something I would love to do.

Casey: From a young age I have been interested in modelling and have a great passion for it. I look up to many other models and fashion icons and this inspires me a lot. Growing up watching programmes like Americas Next Top Model also gave me passion for the industry.

When did you first get involved in the big bad world of modelling?

Casey and I did our first photoshoot for Kennel Clothing by William Coughlan with fashion blogger David Babington and we loved it. From there our good friend Evan Bradley stepped in and has handed us a number of opportunities and has pushed us to be the best we can be, we are so fortunate.

Who has influenced your career the most?

Courtney: Being honest I don’t think I would be as confident as I am if I did not have my twin sister by my side every day, we influence and encourage each other to do our very best. Having a twin is such a positive in this type career.

Casey: My twin sister has influenced me a lot but also my good friend Evan has really influenced my career and set me on the right path to success and I am so appreciative of this.

What are your other hobbies and interests? How do you de-stress?

Courtney: As I am in Leaving Cert years and school is such a huge part of my life I don’t really have much time to do things on school days. I enjoy being out and about with friends and I have an interest in basketball, I’ve played both school and Club. To de-stress I would often just do something nice with my friends and get out, maybe go for a walk.

Casey: My main focus at the moment is doing well in school. I like to keep fit and often go for a jog and workout to de-stress. Socialising with my friends is very important to me and doing fun and adventurous activities on the weekend is also one of my hobbies.

What has been the best advice you have received?

Courtney: The best advice I’ve gotten would be from my mom who told me just to be myself and not to get too caught up in the whole thing, to just enjoy it and don’t try change who I am to fit in, have my own style and personality because if everyone was the same we would be living in a very boring world.

Casey:  The best advice I have received is to always be myself and never leave anybody have an impact on how you feel about yourself because “Gucci doesn’t care about lidl”

Who is your biggest idol?

Courtney: My biggest idol would have to be Cara Delevingne. I am obsessed with her, not just her style but her looks too. She is such a unique person and I love it. Cara signed with an agency at the age of 17 and things just got better from there for her and it would be my dream to be just like her. She is a natural beauty and she effortlessly puts outfits together and still looks amazing!

Casey: Kendal Jenner is one of my biggest idols and also Cara Delevingne would be my other idol. I admire their style and natural beauty.

Where do you like to shop?

Courtney: I love to shop in Opera Lane in the city, it has everything to fit from head to toe. I find it hard to pick one specific shop but I really love shopping in Top Shop and River Island. I always find something I like in both shops and I like to keep up to date with styles, I love putting my own twist on outfits also. My style icons would be Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner. I love browsing through pics of these two and looking at their outfits, they have such a unique and cool style both casual and a bit more dressy.

Casey: I shop in a number of different stores but my favourite place to shop would be opera lane as it has a range of my favourite shops, for example River Island. For more basic clothing I like to shop in H&M.

Have you received any big make up tips along the way?

Courtney: A make-up tip I have received along the way would be “less is more”. Sometimes make up can be overdone and it doesn’t suit everyone. It is key to match up your skin tone with the correct make up shade.

Casey: I’ve learned the longer you take to do your makeup the more mistakes you make!

What are your hopes for the future and what is your ultimate goal?

Courtney: I would hope to get stuck into modelling in the future but I need to focus on my schooling for the next year and half until my leaving cert is out of the way and then I will take things as they come. I intend on going to college and training to become a primary school teacher but I would also like to have a career in modelling. I’m going to enjoy life and make the most of every opportunity that is thrown my way.

My goal would be to become a big name in the modelling industry and to be recognised as a model.

Casey:  In the future I hope to become Miss Universe Cork, broaden my experiences and take all the opportunities that I am offered to make the most out of my career.

My ultimate goal is to be well known model not just in Cork but further afield.
