There was a sheep in Lidl over the weekend
There was a sheep in Lidl over the weekend- yes, you read that right!
Just to confirm once again, there was a sheep in a Lidl store.
Shoppers were left with a furry surprise as they visited Glenmanus Road in Portrush over the weekend.
John Junk, of Belfast Books Limited, was in the store and he shared his experience at seeing the farm animal.
Posting on Facebook on Sunday, John wrote: “My wife, myself, our 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son were up camping near Portrush, and had planned a barbecue for 6pm on Saturday 15th with some friends and their children. That took us to Lidl on the Glenmanus Road, a store we’d never been in before.
“After getting some BBQ supplies, my wife and daughter went back to get some mini burger buns we’d forgotten. At that point they saw #sheepguy come through the front doors.
“Locals seem to have difficulty processing what was happening, and one middle aged woman rubbed her eyes in disbelief.
“As a female Lidl employee headed toward him, my wife and daughter warned the shepherd off that there may be trouble ahead. He laughed and quipped, ‘It said ‘no dogs’ so I’ll be dead on love!’.”
You’ll never know what you pick up in our favourite bargain store.
