If make up is applied correctly very little is required to maintain your flawless look which is just as well as usually it is only a small bag. However, there are a few essentials that you will need to purchase.

1. A small compact mirror is very useful as when your ceremony is over the photographer likes to take photos of the happy couple so have a quick look in the mirror to make sure you are picture perfect.

2. From the trial you will have agreed on a lip colour whether this is a lipstick or gloss or indeed both you should have this with you for top ups.

3. A setting powder is so important too in the event that you get shiny it is a great way to rejuvenate your make up without changing it. If you have chosen to wear highlighters then you should avoid setting powder in these areas of the face as it will only interfere with your glow. I recommend Rimmel loose face powder in transparent as it doesn't alter the colour of your foundation/bronzer like some of the other supposedly translucent powders.

4. Again from my trials I like to try this tip out on my brides which is a black coal pencil in the inner waterline. This can for night time really intensify the eyes giving a more smokey appearance and help with the transition of your make up from a day to night look. I recommend the Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil. However, it can make the eyes appear a little smaller so it's not for everybody. In the case of small eyes a white or nude pencil can make the eyes appear bigger and more open.

5. Tissues and cosmetic cotton buds which have both a flat and pointed end (Boots Pharmacy stock them) for tidying up the eye area in the event of any tears.

6. No harm to have a bronzer and brush too as a top tip for my brides is when you are being congratulated by your guests (kissing your lovely applied make up) stick to being kissed on one side of the cheek only as this will mean less potential damage to your make up. In the event that your make up is not as flawless as originally then you can just apply a little bronzer to bring it together. You cannot reapply a wet foundation to a dry base as it will go cakey which is not a good look.
