Travelling with a baby? Aisling O’Loughlin has the perfect advice
Travelling with a baby? Aisling O’Loughlin has the perfect advice to save a lot of time and energy while you are on holiday.
We are all sick of overly-complicated prams that take up too much space and weigh a ton, right? Well, what should we do?
“My preferred mode of transport for baby this time around is a carrier. Strap him in and off we go – and, boy, have we been busy! Joseph’s first adventure was to the island of Gozo, off Malta, to visit friends where we explored the Ġgantija Temples – an ancient site, some 5,500-years-old.
“We even managed the Hop On Hop Off bus tour of the island and a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon in Comino. The little man was in his element, all snuggled up and content,” explained Aisling in her Mother of All Baby Columns in RSVP Magazine.
“The latest baby carriers really do distribute the load evenly so you hardly feel encumbered. This one is the Je Porte Mon Bebe PhysioCarrier from www.kneetokneeslings.com – and the winning feature for me is a little cushion for baby’s newborn bum, so he doesn’t slip as you walk.
“This maternity leave, I’m not wasting a minute. After two winter babies, it’s a luxury to leave the house without getting drenched or worrying about fading light at 4pm. Even those dreaded night feeds aren’t so bad when temperatures are up,” continued the Xposé presenter.
There we have it ladies, our trips abroad are going to be a little easier with this helpful advice from the mum of three.
